Administrative Services Division

To create and maintain a support unit for all divisions and bureaus.

To provide a liaison with both the attorney’s offices and the courts.

To provide records management and evidence security.

To provide for the upkeep and maintenance of the department’s equipment.

To assure correct, competent, and courteous service to the public.

To provide technical and law enforcement information to both the public and the department.

To provide responsive telecommunications work in the reception and transmission of 9-1-1 and radio emergency fire and law enforcement service calls as well as complaints and inquiries from the public.

To manage a vehicle abatement program for the city, handle animal complaints, the pick up of animals, the issuing of citations for animal control violations and the transport of animals to the pound.

Service Objectives

Public Safety Dispatchers, Police Records Clerks, and Community Service Officers will respond to the citizens of the community in a timely and courteous manner.

Police Records Clerks will continue to perform professional clerical work using modern office practices and procedures.

Public Safety Dispatchers will continue to perform responsive telecommunications work in the reception and transmission of 9-1-1 telephone and emergency radio (fire and law enforcement) service calls, complaints, and inquiries from the public.

Community Service Officers will continue to assist with inquiries made by phone and in person regarding department information. They will also assist with department matters, the pick up of animals, the issuing of citations for animal control violations, the transport of animals to the pound, and handling of the vehicle abatement program within the city and with animal complaints.
