The City Attorney provides legal services to the City Council, City departments, commissions, and committees. The City Attorney is responsible for the review of all City ordinances, resolutions, contracts, agreements, agenda reports and other legal documents. The City Attorney may represent the City in litigation matters involving the City. The City Attorney is selected by the City Council. The City of Atwater contracts with Dennis L. Myers and Meyers Nave for legal services.
